The Yurica Report: What It
Is and Where It is Going

We Started A Magazine in 2003:

We thought of ourselves as a “magazine” or journal right from the
beginning. But we're a little different than other news reports. On each of our
pages, where stories, articles and essays are featured, you'll see a notice that
makes us different: "News Intelligence Analysis." In other words, we regard
the facts differently than most news agencies. We regard information to be
"facts" that require analysis. In short, we evaluate the news much as an
intelligence agency might do, only we're analyzing information for you. We're
trying to save you time, but we're also trying to give you insights that might be
lost in the billions of stories on the web and on the airwaves. We are proud to
say that over 316 of the world's best universities visit this web site regularly!

We are offering you a real service. And it is a rare service. For over the years
the Yurica Report has posted scoops that you will not find anywhere else
but here. That's why so many web sites link to us and why you'll find so
many of our reports re-published all over the web! (By the way, feel free to
repost our pieces--all we ask is that you make sure that you credit the
Yurica Report--and that you give a live link back to the original. You should
also make sure our copyright is shown on your page--this is for your
protection as well as ours.) We are in the planning stage of syndicating
the Yurica Report, which means you will soon be able to carry our most
recent articles on your web site through a RSS feed or through XML.

Well, at this point, you may want to know who runs this web site! Here's the
shocking news: The Yurica Report is run by two
senior citizens--two old ladies in
running shoes!

We began building the idea for the Yurica Report late in 2002 and actually set up the
web site around February of 2003. We are constantly making changes
and additions. Our most recent renovation is to expand our Art Galleries
to include Modern and Abstract Art and we've added Da Vinci's Door, a door
to innovation, art and invention, with links to wonderful art and invention on the
web! We have more on that below.

But first, here's a list of some of the topics we cover in depth:

Political corruption from the White House to the state house.
Crimes and punishment in high places.
America engaging in torture: Abu Ghraib, Guantánamo, elsewhere

Christian Domionism, its rise, its goals and how it threatens you.
The
churches in politics: religion as an enemy and as a friend, plus religious trends.

Voting and election fraud and how to prevent it.

The battle for the judiciary and what it means to you.

The battle for the press

Political Philosophy

Organizations whose goal is to destroy democracy

Health Issues: Medicaid, Medicare, and the Schiavo Effect

The Essay That’s Gone Around the World

By 2004 we published “The Despoiling of America” by Katherine and that essay literally
went around the world and is still being distributed widely, with a readership of over 100,000
readers since 2004. Katherine’s book
Bloodguilty Churches is available free of charge on our
website and so far it has been viewed by over 20,000 readers in both editions
(the
Congressional Handbook in a PDF edition and the full edition of the complete book.)

What else? The Yurica Report has tripled its growth since 2004. Google ranks many
of our articles, documents and essays as four and five out of ten as a measure of their importance.
We are proud to be part of the growing number of Americans who not only realize that our
newspapers and news sources have betrayed their trust to the American people, but have
actually reported lies and withheld information from investigators. The Yurica Report is
dedicated to making a difference and getting the facts out there.

What’s next? We have been working diligently to create Directories, organizing all the
articles and documents we have on this website into listings to help our readers find the
information they are looking for and we hope to improve navigation on our web site. We’ve
been slow in doing this, but keep in mind, we are just two senior citizens. Google now
reports that there are about 11,700 pages on the site.

Advertising & Revenues

We have just begun to advertise on this web site. This is no small thing. Also, we hope to set up
a credit card contribution system to enable our readers to make contributions to us through
PayPal. And we may be setting up a non-profit corporation that will allow contributions with
a tax write-off for a separate entity.

We are art lovers at the Report and our web site is making an impact upon our vistors. Over
52,000 people have viewed
Joel Pellitier’s painting, “American Fundamentalists,” a monumental
work of political art after the Belgian artist, James Ensor’s 1888 work. Similarly, our Exhibit of
Political Art has introduced the work of
Sue Coe, America’s foremost political artist to thousands
of visitors. (By the way, we are working to increase the speed with which the art on our site
loads. We truly thank you for your patience.)

Art For the Sake of Truth

That brings us to the opening of DaVinci’s Door, a candidate for a separate non-profit
organization that will focus on ideas for the 21st century. Leonardo Da Vinci was the greatest
mind of the Renaissance. Most people know that. But most people do not realize how
diverse his knowledge and influence was.
He was a generalist and we believe that the
21st century needs to see a return of the importance of a liberal arts education in order
to prepare the thinkers of the future. We have several exhibits that link to important art
and inventive web sites in
The Leonardo DaVinci Gallery of Fine Art and Invention.

We foresee a fragmentation of our society that represents a new kind of Dark Ages. Most
of the churches in America have failed us. For spiritual growth and enlightenment, we
have to turn to the arts—to literature, painting, sculpting, to music and the performing
arts, and to philosophy. We need thinkers to combat the current Machiavellian thesis
that the ends justify the means. We need a vital and revived art in our culture at a time
when darkness seeks to swallow the very heart of esthetics. DaVinci’s Door is our
contribution to the children who will inherit the burdens of this generation’s greed. We've
done an experimental page on behalf of
children in DaVinci's Door, it is a prelude to the
future Institute. Also we have built yet another art gallery on this web site. We now have
four. We hope that you will join with us, offer your insights to us, and help us speak
Truth to power!

Thank you too, for your prayers. And we could use a few more writers. Feel free to contact us as we
gather our strength to post lighted lamps at midnight and in the darkest hours of our day.
